James Beale: Head of International Partnerships at Action Aid. He was the award winning Chief Executive of Ockenden International during its days as an operational charity. An authority on developing self-reliance programmes among displaced persons in some of the world’s most remote and hostile environments.
Stephen Cooke: Partner at the legal firm WithersWorldwide. He has been a supporter of Ockenden through half the years of its operations An expert on domestic and international tax and trust work. This ranges from UK entrepreneurs to families with landed estates to non-domiciliaries with complex private trust company structures
Stephen Claypole : Chairman DMA-Media Ltd, the international media consultancy and editorial outsourcing company. A veteran of tv news and current affairs. Former editor of the BBC World Service and founding managing director of APTN, the global video news service of The Associated Press.
Dr Dhananjayan (Danny) Sriskandarajah: Director of the Royal Commonwealth Society since January 2009 (Currently on secondment to the Commonwealth Foundation). An established researcher, author and commentator on international migration, economic development, the political economy of conflict, and ethnic diversity.
Audri Day: Previously Senior partner of Alan Day Holdings, currently focusing on property development. In recent years, she has also been involved in academia, undertaking psychoanalytical and sociological research into feminist narratives. She joins Ockenden, while actively supporting a number of other charities and promoting events which celebrate the history and diversity of different cultures.
Finance and Administration
Liz Whiting: Adviser on financial and administration issues. She was the Finance Director of Ockenden International during its time as an operational NGO. Experienced in the financial running of self-reliance programmes in far-flung places and in dealing with the requirements of international donors.
